Northern Praying Mantis Boxing is a martial art inspired by the movements of the praying mantis insect. Its legendary founder, Wong Long, developed this system by observing a mantis’s unique movements and combining them with methods from various martial arts masters. Over time, it evolved into a profound and effective style.
Mantis Boxing emphasizes adaptability and precision through 12 key words; key movements like Grab, Pull, Strike, and Stick. 8 Hard, and 12 Soft principles which express themselves through techniques blending strength and flexibility.
These principles form a versatile foundation for self-defense, adaptable to various situations. Proper training and guidance from a qualified instructor ensure a deep understanding of these methods.
Whether you are new to martial arts or an experienced practitioner, our program provides an opportunity to connect with a timeless tradition while building your skills and confidence.
